A Joyful Beginning: LNS Parish Advent Retreat Series

Last Wednesday evening marked the first night of our LNS Parish Advent Retreat series, and what a beautiful start it was!

The evening began with the calming rhythm of our parish rosary, uniting hearts in prayer and reflection. Following this, we welcomed Deacon Peter McColluch, who guided us through a thoughtful and inspiring session centered on the theme of “Staying Awake.” His message invited us to pause, prepare, and open ourselves more fully to the presence of Christ as we journey through this Advent season.

The whole evening was filled with grace and joy. The rosary set a spirit of unity, and Deacon Peter’s engaging guidance—woven with Scripture, wisdom, music, and encouragement—uplifted and inspired everyone present. As the session drew to a close, the warmth of fellowship reminded us that Advent is not only about waiting, but also about journeying together as a parish family.

In true parish style, the night ended with tea, snacks, and plenty of camaraderie. Conversations flowed, laughter filled the hall, and friendships were strengthened. It was a beautiful reminder that retreats nurture not only our spiritual growth but also our sense of community.
