Our Parish
Our Mission
In the heart of the Lower North Shore, our Parish stands as a beacon of faith and community spirit, embracing all who seek solace and spiritual nourishment. With a rich history that weaves together the stories of St. Thomas', St. Leonard's, and St. Philip Neri, we are a tapestry of tradition and modernity. Our Parish is not just a place of worship but a vibrant community hub where individuals and families grow in faith, participate in ministry, and contribute to our shared mission of love and service. Join us in our journey of faith, hope, and love, as we strive to make a difference in the lives of those around us and beyond.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we are the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) who comes together, united in the love that Jesus gives to us in his commandment to “love one another” (John 13:34). We go out into the world to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20).
We express our mission in the following statement:
Together, in Christ’s love, for others.

We enact our Mission through:
-
Growing and strengthening our community
-
Assisting parishioners to build a stronger relationship with God
-
Worshipping the Lord
-
Missionary action
-
Leadership, nurturing and communication
Our Vision:
To know and love God, and be Christ to one another.
We commit to be a welcoming, nurturing and vibrant Catholic community, that embodies the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, reaching outwards, bringing the joy of the Good News to all people and being attentive to the needs of others. Our Mission and Vision will guide our missionary activities.
Words from Our Parish Priest
In the spirit of renewal and with eyes set firmly on the future, I am honored to present to you our Parish Missionary Plan. This strategic and heartfelt document is a culmination of our communal reflections and the discerning wisdom of our congregation.
This plan is a clarion call to deepen our commitment to God's word, to extend a hand of fellowship to every soul, and to build a parish that resonates with the vibrant teachings of Jesus. We envisage a community where God's love is manifest in our actions, and our mission is brought to life through active and compassionate discipleship.
In these pages, we have laid out concrete steps towards enriching our community life. We will welcome and embrace every member of our parish, offering support and fellowship. Our children and youth will find a nurturing environment where their faith can flourish. Through our schools, we will sow seeds of spirituality that will bear fruit for generations to come.
Our worship will be an active, living expression of our faith, one that celebrates through song, prayer, and sacred liturgy. We will offer varied and inclusive forms of worship, seeking to touch hearts and engage minds across all walks of life.
Our commitment to missionary action is unwavering. We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, reaching out beyond the walls of our churches to serve and uplift. We will foster a community that is conscious of its role in the world, actively participating in social outreach and environmental stewardship.
Guided by these goals, I am devoted to leading a parish that is transparent, communicative, and responsive to the needs of its people. Our leadership and stewardship of resources will reflect our dedication to the Gospel and the teachings of the Church.
This Parish Missionary Plan is more than a blueprint; it is a journey we embark on together, fortified by faith and shared purpose. May it inspire and challenge us to live out the Gospel with renewed fervor and joy.
With blessings and hope,
Fr Jose Philip
